Falling behind

I thought I would be able to keep up with this on the weekends - but that seems like the time when I have NO time! Here are a few pictures (all taken this morning)to catch me up!

We had another beautiful spring-like day today and had fun playing in the backyard! Camryn is so much an "outside" girl and Prestin is my in the house boy! Anyhow, I got them both outside for long enough for a couple pictures! Here is a snap from our afternoon!

Saturday

It was a spring-like day around here, so we did some spring cleaning. I worked inside and Darren and the kids worked outside. Camryn still got some playtime on her swing!

Friday

We went to a wedding on Saturday - and this is now I am now WAY behind on my posts. I was asked to take photos while we were there, a very informal ceremony. I have been trying to edit throughout this weekend and it's taken up alot of time. I was very nervous. I even went to the bride's parent's house for pre-wedding photos (which did not come out well at all). It was disappointing, to say the least - but again another learning experience. Here are a few from the day that I am okay sharing.

Two for today since I did not get to post yesterday. My new lens came last night so I had fun playing with it at playgroup this morning. Here is Camryn and her playgroup friend! Okay - so it's really the kitten of the playgroup friend! Camryn loves cats!

Oh my.....

I only posted this here because I believe all that read my blog now know. I am pregnant. It's still early (quite early). I had no intention of sharing the news this early, however, I am just shocked and I know that this is truly the greatest gift!

Found Tyler sleeping ON Camryn during nap! He was not actually on top of her, but more had his head on her shoulder. It was cute - got a snap and then proceeded to move Tyler out of the room. He probably weighs more than her!

Notice she is holding a tube of lip gloss. This is the only way I could get her to sit still. I could not find her chapstick - I am quite sure she has eaten it and discarded the evidence!

This is the duck pond where we like to go and feed the ducks. We stopped by there very quickly the other day - there were less than 10 ducks still hanging around, but they were happy to see us.

I though I had posted yesterday, guess not. I did take a picture though - my self-portrait! I purposely cropped the photo this way - cutting out my frizzy hair (which is in need of a cut and color job)!

Snow...

there is not much left of it now and schools will reopen tomorrow, finally. Just finished editing the last of my snow pictures, so here's my share. This weeks theme is self-portrait and I will be doing none of that! HA! :-)

We had a chance to get out and play today!

Studio lighting

or my cheap play on it! I set up my background stand and umbrella lights this morning so I could play. Unfortunately, I did not really have any willing subjects to play with. The picture above is about as cooperative as my twosome were! Can you feel the enthusiasm? Winnie the Pooh was cooperative, so I did get a couple pictures that were actually in focus!

Looks like I have ALOT more practicing to do. ((sigh)) I think I needed a background light on the white ones, but the bulb blew, but I was just practicing.

Long day

Took the easy way out today. Not much time to play or edit so this is the top of a little box I have on my dresser.

Let it snow...

It is snowing here today, which is a HUGE deal! We are now supposed to get anywhere from 6 to 10 inches! We got out for a little bit this afternoon to play, but to be quite honest it's very cold! It's in the 20's which is just too cold to play out in. Camryn has a blast though, until the cold hit her. Her little mittens did not do much to keep her warm, but she could not help herself from sticking her hands in the snow - it's just so good to eat!

Two more...

This was a household vote and again there was a difference of opinion on which picture was more interesting. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or so they say. I would not characterize either one of these as "beautiful" however they each have an appeal.

Two today...

Because I could not decide which one I wanted to post. The bananas were my first choice, but then Camryn saw the picture of Tyler (aka Fat Cat) on the screen and began talking to him. (Tyler is Camryn's best bud)! Anyhow, Tyler is pretty monochromatic on his own, being grey and white, but the green in his eyes and green of the blankets in the background were distracting so I went with the black and white version. The bananas are just bananas! Camryn likes them, too!
